Pulsoid supports chest strap and armband monitors that use BLE. It also works natively with Apple Watch, Wear OS watches (like Fossil, Samsung Watch, Mobvoi TicWatch, and others), and some Fitbit devices.
You can read more about supported monitors and alternative options here.
If you’re having issues with the Pulsoid app, follow the steps in this tutorial. If the problem continues, email support@pulsoid.net or reach out to us on Discord.
I can’t see my monitor on the list
Check device compatibility
Your monitor must support BLE and be a chest strap or armband. If you’re using a watch, see if it’s supported. Pulsoid has native support for Apple Watch, Wear OS watches, and some Fitbit models.
Check battery level
Make sure your monitor has enough battery.
Prepare your chest strap
Wet the conductive pads on your chest strap (as recommended in the manual) and put it on your body.
Disconnect from other apps
The monitor must NOT be paired in your phone’s Bluetooth settings and must NOT be used by another app.
Enable location services (Android only)
Make sure location services are on and the Pulsoid app has permission. Pulsoid does not use or collect your location. Android requires this permission for BLE scanning.
Test with a BLE scanner
Use a BLE scanner app (Android or iOS) to see if your monitor appears there. Try connecting and disconnecting.
Restart Pulsoid
Close and reopen the Pulsoid app, then try again.
If the monitor is not visible at all
If your phone’s Bluetooth scanner doesn’t see the monitor, the issue may be with the device or how it’s being used — it may not be sending a signal.
Reinstall the app
Uninstall the Pulsoid app, reinstall it, and try again.
Contact support
If you still have issues, email support@pulsoid.net with your phone model, heart rate monitor model, a description of the issue, and screenshots if possible.

I see the monitor in the list, but I can’t connect
Confirm device type
Make sure your monitor is a chest strap with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) support. The Android app shows all nearby BLE devices, but it can read your heart rate only if the device actually broadcasts it.
Check the battery
Low battery can prevent the monitor from connecting.
Ensure proper skin contact
The sensors must touch your skin directly, and the pads should be slightly moistened as described in the monitor’s manual.
Make sure no other device/app is using it
The monitor can be connected to only one device or app at a time.
Turn on location services (Android)
Android requires location permission for BLE scanning.
Restart Bluetooth
Turn Bluetooth off and on again.
Restart the Pulsoid app
Close and reopen the app, then try connecting again.
Reinstall the app
Uninstall the Pulsoid app and reinstall it. If you need to do this more than once, please contact us.
Contact support
If you still can’t connect, email support@pulsoid.net with your phone model, heart rate monitor model, and a description of the issue. Screenshots are helpful. You can also reach us on Discord for support.
My heart rate monitor keeps connecting and disconnecting
This usually happens because of your phone’s battery-saving settings or poor signal visibility between the monitor and your phone.
Check the monitor’s battery
Low battery can cause frequent disconnects.
Review your phone’s power-saving settings
Some modes block or disable external devices. We also recommend using a well-charged phone.
Ensure good sensor contact
Chest straps need direct skin contact and slightly wet conductive pads to measure heart rate correctly.
Restart the Pulsoid app
Close and reopen the app.
Check if it affects your stream
Sometimes reconnects happen, but the delay is only about 0.5 seconds and won’t be visible on stream.
If disconnects happen when your screen locks
If battery-saving settings can’t be adjusted, you may need to keep your phone awake while using the app. Apps that keep the screen on may help. If you need to use one, please let us know at support@pulsoid.net.
Contact support
If the issue continues, email support@pulsoid.net or reach out to us on Discord with your phone model, heart rate monitor model, and a description of the problem. Screenshots are also helpful.
The monitor is connected, but I don’t see my heart rate on the website
Check your internet connection
Make sure your phone and computer both have stable internet.
Confirm you’re using the same account
You must be logged into the same Pulsoid account on both the app and the website.
Refresh the dashboard
Wait a few minutes after the monitor connects to your phone, then reload the dashboard.
Contact support
If the issue continues, email support@pulsoid.net or reach out to us on Discord with your phone model, heart rate monitor model, and a short description of the problem. Screenshots are helpful too.
Apple Watch or Wear OS stuck on “Starting”
Check permissions
Make sure you allowed the Pulsoid watch app to access heart rate data.
Update permissions in phone settings
Go to your phone: Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Pulsoid
Grant all necessary permissions.
Restart the app
Close and reopen the Pulsoid app on both your watch and phone.
If the issue continues
Reinstall the app and contact us on Discord for support.
Pulse freezing on Samsung Galaxy Watches 4, 5, 6, 7
The OneUI 6 update may cause this issue on Galaxy Watches. It depends on several Samsung Watch settings, so there isn’t one fix that works for everyone. Check this guide for steps that may help.
After issues are fixed:
